As in the past, FAPM is offering two pre-conference workshops. On Thursday and Friday, August 18-19, you can gain valuable training on
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound led by Dr. Jon A. Jacobson from the University of Michigan. On Friday, August 19th, we will be offering a ten hour

During the two day annual conference on Saturday and Sunday August 20-21, we will be providing three sessions covering new legislation passed this year including a review of 7095 and state inspection rules. These sessions will be presented by FMA staff, legislative attorneys and by our special guest

FAPM Conference Offers Special Workshops
The Florida Academy of Pain Medicine 2011
Scientific Meeting is offering two special
workshops during the conference program. This
year’s program will be held on August 18-21 at
the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The
two pre-conference workshops will be held on
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and PRP and Basic
Pain Medicine and Opioid Pain Medicine.
On Thursday, August 18th and Friday,
August 19th, Dr. Jon A. Jacobson,
Professor of Radiology, Division of
Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of
Michigan, will lead the workshop on
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and PRP. He will
be assisted by Marc Hirsh, MD, Advanced
Rheumatology from Delray Beach, Florida, Raul
Monzon, MD, President of the Florida Academy of
Pain Medicine and Felix Linetsky, MD of the
American Academy of Regenerative Orthopedic
Medicine.
On Friday, August 19th there will be
a 10 hour
CME program on Basic Pain Medicine and Opioid
Pain Medicine conducted by Drs. Albert Ray,
MD and Marla Golden, DO. Included will be a
session on How to Prepare for the State
Inspection. This session will be led by Bradley
Meinsk, CEO of Orthopedic Injury Center which
has passed the state inspection with flying

Conference Agenda Includes 7095 Review With the new legislation passed by the Florida legislature and signed Governor Scott it is important for physicians to be aware of the changes and how they will affect your practice of medicine. Therefore, the FAPM will be offering three sessions on 7095 during our annual conference at the Breakers on August 19-21, 2011. The first session will be during the pre-conference session on Friday, August 19th. It will present ideas on how to prepare for the State Inspection. Then on Sunday, August 21st there will be two legislative update sessions.
